Ethernet Network Cabling for businesses
Ethernet cabling that lasts. Certified, guaranteed, documented. ICT Vision designs and deploys your Cat 6A/7/8 structured cabling infrastructure in accordance with ISO 11801. Every link tested. Every connection documented.
Your physical network is the foundation for everything else.
Poor cabling, poor infrastructure. Good design, good infrastructure. At ICT Vision, we plan your building’s digital backbone, cable by cable. From design to certification, every project follows a rigorous, standardised and fully documented process.
The result: a 10 Gbps (or higher) infrastructure ready for the next 20 years, with no nasty surprises when new technologies are rolled out
Does my business need to upgrade its Ethernet cabling?
-
“Our cameras are no longer displaying video feeds”
The problem often stems from the underlying cabling. An audit will identify any faulty connections. State-of-the-art re-cabling is often necessary for new cameras requiring higher frequencies, to power your Wi-Fi access points to their full potential.
-
"We’re moving to new premises and don’t know where to start."
We take care of the entire design process: from the layout plan to commissioning, with structured cabling designed to cope with two decades of technological development.
-
“Our cabling is 15 years old. Does it still meet current standards?”
We audit and certify every link and provide you with a prioritised remediation plan. It doesn’t necessarily mean replacing everything. First, let’s see what can stay.
-
“Our cabling doesn’t support PoE.”
We install a PoE++ infrastructure (up to 90W per port) using Cat 6A cabling. Cameras, Wi-Fi access points, IP phones and IoT sensors are all powered via a single cable.

Types of cabling
-
Existing cabling (Cat 5 / 5e / 6)
It isn’t the highest-performing cabling available today, but it remains usable: Cat 5e supports Gigabit speeds, whilst Cat 6 can reach 10 Gbps over short distances. We can maintain it, certify it and identify which parts remain reliable; you’ll know what to keep, what to upgrade and in what order, without having to re-wire the entire building as a matter of course.
-
Cat 6A copper
The standard for all new business installations. Workstations, IP phones, IP cameras, WiFi 6E/7 access points: Cat 6A supports 10 Gbps over 100 m and powers your equipment via PoE++ (90W).
-
Cat 7 copper
For environments with high levels of electromagnetic interference: factories, hospitals, and areas near industrial machinery. Individual pair shielding ensures maximum immunity to interference.
-
Cat 8 copper
For short connections within server rooms (top-of-rack, max. 30 m). Supports 25 to 40 Gbps for high-performance switch-to-server links.

Why ICT Vision?
- Engineering first and foremost Every project begins with an in-depth technical study carried out by our certified engineers: audit, site survey, high-level and low-level design. We comply with TIA-568-D and ISO/IEC 11801 standards. A network designed before it is installed.
- 100% link certification Every link installed is individually tested and certified using Class V certification equipment (Fluke DSX-8000). You will receive an electronic report for each link, which can be archived for 25 years, detailing all performance parameters: attenuation, crosstalk, ACR-F, return loss and propagation delay. No uncertified links. No unpleasant surprises at commissioning.
- Designed for the next 20 years: Cat 6A minimum (10 Gbps), Cat 7 for demanding environments, PoE++ infrastructure (802.3bt, 90W). Your cabling is ready for Wi-Fi 7, massive IoT and Smart Buildings without the need for rewiring.
- Full documentation and traceability: TIA-606-C-compliant labelling, up-to-date schematic diagrams, patch tables and cabling management database (CMDB). The complete digital as-built documentation is provided upon handover. Your infrastructure is as well documented as it is designed.
- Manufacturer’s warranty As a certified installer for CommScope SYSTIMAX, Nexans LANmark and Legrand Cabling Solutions, we activate the extended system warranty covering components and application performance for 25 years.
What this means in practice

Frequently asked questions
Cat 6 supports 10 Gbps only over 55 metres, whilst Cat 6A guarantees 10 Gbps over the full 100-metre distance with better immunity to interference. For a modern business installation, Cat 6A is the recommended minimum standard: the price difference (10–15 per cent) is more than offset by its lifespan and performance.
Allow 2 to 4 weeks for a project with 100 to 300 sockets, and 6 to 12 weeks for 300 to 1,000 sockets. Completion times depend on the complexity of the building, the accessibility of cable routes and coordination with other trades. We can work outside normal hours (evenings, weekends) to minimise disruption to your business.
Not necessarily. Our audit determines which links are still compliant and performing well. Cat 6 cabling in good condition can be retained for areas with low requirements, whilst critical links (backbone, Wi-Fi access points, key workstations) are upgraded as a priority. We favour a phased and cost-effective approach.
Yes, 100%. Cat 6A is backwards compatible with all existing Ethernet equipment (10/100/1000 Mbps and 10 Gbps). Your current switches, IP phones and computers will work perfectly. You’ll simply enjoy better performance as soon as you upgrade your active equipment.
PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) allows devices to be powered directly via the Ethernet cable, up to 90 watts per port. This eliminates the need for dedicated power sockets for Wi-Fi access points, IP cameras and telephones. Fewer power cables mean a simpler, more flexible and less expensive installation.
As a certified installer, we activate the manufacturer’s system warranty (CommScope, Nexans or Legrand, depending on the project), which covers components and application performance for 20 to 25 years. If a certified link no longer supports the specified data rates, the manufacturer will replace the components free of charge.
We plan the work in zones to maintain business continuity. Noisy work (drilling, cable pulling) is scheduled outside office hours where possible. Connection migrations are carried out in the evenings or at weekends, with a switchover plan and a rollback procedure in place. Each area is cleaned up and made fully operational before work begins in the next one.
Yes. Our contract includes SLAs ranging from 4 hours to 5 days depending on the criticality of the system, proactive monitoring if smart panels are installed, updates to the documentation, and an annual revalidation audit. This contract is optional but strongly recommended for sites with more than 200 sockets.
